The holiday season is over but the season of love is not..why is it that we tend to remember to be kind to one another only around Christmas or to express our love for somebody on Vday alone?

Hope 2013 is the year everyone makes more of an effort to be kind.

It has been much too long since I updated but I wanted to share this link!  I have recently become an Avon rep and I sure am loving it!  I have been buying their products for years and can honestly say that I enjoy the products and feel comfortable selling them as I know and believe in the quality and prices which suit anyone!

Anyone who knows me personally knows that I am a big supporter of Vday…no..not Valentine’s day (Granted I love chocolates) but Vday as a day to celebrate women and raise awareness of violence against women.  One out of every four women you know has been a victim of rape, been molested, or abused physically and/or mentally.  It’s just that most women you know will take this secret to their graves. 

I am a survivor.  I encourage all of my friends, especially men to go see the Vagina Monologues at least once in their life.  I stand at the end of each show when they ask survivors to stand.  I cry when all the men in the audience stand when asked who will promise that night to protect the women in their lives for the rest of their lives. 

What does this have to do with Avon?  A part of their mission as a company is to support women in their fight against breast cancer AND to raise awareness about violence against women and to help stop it by removing battered women from dangerous situations and giving them the tools to start over. 

This makes me doubly proud to be an Avon representative.  I not only like their products and prices, I also thoroughly believe in their mission and wish to continue to support my fellow females who unfortunately are part of the 1/4 statistic.
